What are the different powertrains of the GLC?

The five-seater Mercedes-Benz GLC comes in four different trim levels, which is separated by the various engines they come with. The base GLC 300 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which pumps out 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The base model comes standard with rear-wheel-drive. All other models come standard with all-wheel-drive. The 350e is the GLC’s plug-in hybrid model which comes with an electric motor and a battery pack and comes paired with a four-cylinder engine. All-together the 350e makes 320 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. A turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine comes standard with the AMG® CLC 43 which delivers 362 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. The last engine available is a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that powers the AMG® GLC 63. This V8 engine delivers fast acceleration by means of 469 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque.

As you walk around the exterior of the GLC 300 you’ll notice power-folding mirrors, roof rails, 18-inch wheels, and a power liftgate. Once you slide into the heated simulated-leather front seats you’ll notice the 7-inch infotainment display sitting in the middle of the dashboard. The infotainment system of the GLC 300 comes with smartphone integration, an eight-speaker sound system, HD radio, and a media player. The GLC 300 also comes standard with automatic emergency braking, driver attention monitor, and forward-collision warning. The AMG® GLC 43 tacks on a sport steering wheel, simulated-suede seat inserts, and a sport-tuned suspension. A 14-speaker premium Burmester surround-sound system, LED headlights, and a variable torque distribution system is added to the AMG® GLC 63 model.

What does the GLC have for optional features?

Mercedes-Benz offers several different packages for the GLC so you can get all the features you are looking for and ones you might not have even known you needed. The Driver Assistance package comes with front and rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keep assist. An Advanced Parking Assist package comes standard with features such as a hands-free liftgate, an automated parking system, and front and rear parking sensors. If you’re looking for more high-tech features the Multimedia package may be for you. The package comes with an 8.4-inch central display with navigation and a touchpad controller.
